I see that you made a sheffield valance for a double window. I am looking for a pattern to do the same (my double window is 88″ wide). Any suggestions on where I can find a pattern for this size window. I’ve made many of these before, but all of single/smaller windows.

    Hi Lynda,

Thanks for your comments about my website and I’m happy to be of any help that I can. I don’t use a pattern for the window treatments that I make since every window is of a different shape and size. If you have a pattern for a smaller window, just copy and paste more sections together. Otherwise, when deciding on how wide to make each section, remember that you have one more 4″ pleat than you have center sections. (ie. in the example on my website that you are referring to there are 4 center sections and 5 pleats) Therefore you must subtract 4″ (the width I use for each pleat) from your final width measurement and then divide by the number of sections desired. In you case, with an 88″ window you can have six sections at 14″ each = 84″ + 4″ = 88″.
It’s complicated to put in print but feel free to call me and I can explain further.

    Good luck,
    Susan
