Two tone petal valance , elegance at it’s finest! Two coordinating fabrics are used to create this stunning window treatment. The petals, trimmed in a coordinating fabric are layered onto a mounting board. Each petal is made individually, then overlapped together on the board. They can be stapled onto the board but in this case they are sewn together then attached to the board with hook and loop tape.
If you don’t have a window in your room and have always wanted one, purchase a mirrored window from your local big box store. They come in many shapes and sizes as well as finishes. In this basement room a six paned stained mirrored window was hung and a swag was put over it as if it were a real window. The light in the room reflects into the mirror adding brightness to the room.
A cornice is a great window treatment for a home office. It is clean and tailored and can be shaped and embellished in a multitude of ways.
In this instance a textured upholstery fabric with a small dot pattern was used for the main body of the cornice and paisley ties were added to coordinate with a chair that was in the room. The deep rich colors of the cornice brought balance to the room. Fabric covered buttons finish the treatment.
These french doors looked lost and undersized on such a long wall. The pinch pleated drapery panels made out of a durable embroidered cotton twill added another 30 inches to the width of the doors giving the room balance.We were also able to hang them just under the crown moulding to maximize the height of the treatment.
Go ahead, celebrate your favorite team. There are so many fabrics out there that represent every school and sport that you could possibly imagine. Show your loyalty and decorate your game’s room or family room with the colors and logos of the school and teams of your choice.
