Welcome to my showcase of design ideas and inspiration for custom home décor, flattering window treatments and other soft furnishings. I have been blessed by being invited into many beautiful homes and meeting the nicest people. I am among the fortunate few who truly enjoy a fulfilling and rewarding profession. Thank you for looking at my work.

balloon valance

Smocking tape was used for the construction of the top treatment of this balloon valance.  The fullness and weight of the valance come from the many vertical  pleats and it is hung on a 2.5″ metal continental rod with drapery pins.  The bottom edge is adorned with a coordinating fringe. This balloon valance is best used as a stationary treatment to keep the wrinkles at bay once it is raised and lowered.

How can inquire about purchasing valances? Where is the price.

All of the window treatments have been custom made to meet the specific needs of my clients including fabric choices and style. Feel free to contact me and we can discuss your windows.

When planning the color scheme of your home Feng Shui color guides will give you an insight on how they can be used.  For example:

Did you know that the color  yellow helps with creativity, discipline and clarity of your mental activity?  It also has warmth, cheerfulness and friendliness.

Red is an aggressive color, great in a home office where deals need to be made.

Orange stimulates unity and collaboration and it strenghthens your concentration.

For a soothing, calming atmosphere use blue/green.

Black is an emotional protector and has power.

Purple gives you physical and mental healing.

Color.

  • Paint your walls, get away from those neutrals.
  • Do an accent wall.
Many people want to bring color into their homes but few take the chance and do it.  We fly to exotic places, take photos of bright and colorful objects, visit art galleries and buy those gorgeous coffee table books, yet we paint our homes beige or taupe.

Take the plunge, don’t be afraid, it’s just paint.

Color can help you take emotional possession of your space.  Use a rich palette of warm tones like the ones seen in this bedroom to take center stage.  These colors brush the room with emotions, touching up the bland and boring and making your room into something spectacular.  custom cornicecustom cornice
