Welcome to my showcase of design ideas and inspiration for custom home décor, flattering window treatments and other soft furnishings. I have been blessed by being invited into many beautiful homes and meeting the nicest people. I am among the fortunate few who truly enjoy a fulfilling and rewarding profession. Thank you for looking at my work.

A cornice was build as one piece then installed as high as possible to give these windows height and uniformity.  All the drapery hardware was hidden under the cornice to keep the look neat and tidy.  A double ruffle was sewn on the inside edge of each drapery panel to give it some softness and whimsy.

This room went from no style to beautiful.

Recently a client of mine googled window treatments and found my website.  She not only liked my work but also my portrait.   When I arrived at her doorstep the first thing that she said was “You look just like your picture.”  Before we even met we were not strangers.

Is your picture on your website or on your social media profiles?
Does your picture look like you?
Is it current?

Yes – people like to know who they are doing business with! A proper picture done right is really an introduction and can have a lot to do with the first impression!

pleated valance with buttons

The beauty of this simple valance is in the details.
We have started with some basic pinch pleats and then added a contrast covered button.
Notice also the soft curves along bottom with the self welting cut on the bias.

    Hi,

Are the directions/pattern available for the lovely valence with buttons? I would appreciate any help…

    Thanks,
    Patricia

There is no pattern for this valance, it was custom made for my client. I hope in the near future to have more DYIs for you.

drapery costume

What better costume this Halloween for a drapery maker than your very own personal drapes.Since wearing a drapery rod would be too uncomfortable for any length of time, I custom cut a piece of wood to fit the curve of my neck which then allowed the “drapery rod” to sit on my shoulders.  The custom drapes were then threaded onto the rod and decorative finials were added for a finishing touch.
