Welcome to my showcase of design ideas and inspiration for custom home décor, flattering window treatments and other soft furnishings. I have been blessed by being invited into many beautiful homes and meeting the nicest people. I am among the fortunate few who truly enjoy a fulfilling and rewarding profession. Thank you for looking at my work.

bay window swag

I love a swag in a bay window – it frames the window and the view. In this room the jabot visually follows the casement window divisions. There is a few inches of drywall above the window casings but these swags were hung at the ceiling to give a clean uniform look.

I would love to have these swags and jabots in a Waverly fabric of my choice. Do you do that or do you have directions on how to sew them.

I have two bay windows just like the one in the picture. Would like them in some sort of neutral fabric that would go with any color. What do you suggest. I plan to put blinds under them for privacy.

drapery panel

A drapery panel with a modern twist on a traditional pattern adorns this kitchen door wall. We added a 2″ solid banding along the leading edges and the hemline to add some contrast and interest. The traditional pinch pleats are attached to rings on this one way draw traverse rod in an oil rubbed bronze to compliment the hardware and light fixtures in the room. Over the kitchen sink we hung a French pick-up swag with a contrast piping along the top and bottom edges tying in the two window treatments. While the drapery panels give privacy on the door wall, 2″ wood blinds, done in white to match the cabinets, allow the same over the kitchen sink.

French pick-up swag

Sea shells have grown up and become sophisticated made up into balloon valances. The valance over the kitchen sink was hung at the ceiling maximizing the views and keeping the look clutter free. A matching balloon valance was hung above the kitchen dinette window and the door to the back deck. While these shades do not operate they are very full with many folds to give them a rich, full, custom look.balloon valanceballoon valance
