Welcome to my showcase of design ideas and inspiration for custom home décor, flattering window treatments and other soft furnishings. I have been blessed by being invited into many beautiful homes and meeting the nicest people. I am among the fortunate few who truly enjoy a fulfilling and rewarding profession. Thank you for looking at my work.

Hang you window treatment up at or near the ceiling.  Not only will this give you the most daylight coming in but it will also give the illusion of taller windows.  This tailored balloon valance did just that.

Bay window balloon

We used a gorgeous striped silk fabric to make this tailored balloon.  You will find lots of fullness in each pleat for that rich custom look.
The balloon valance is hung at the bay ceiling for a clean look and hides cellular shades that are pulled down when privacy is needed.

Hi Susan. This is Kathy Newcomb and I have found a valance that I really like. I’m not for sure what website I found these on. They are buttonback valances with I believe grey pleats. Would you proved me some information on them.Thank you.

Some very soothing colors  were chosen for this beautiful sun room and  we were able to warm-up the room with these button back pleated valances.  Notice the detail of the contrast striped color in the pleats as well as the covered buttons and the piping along to top edge.  The striped table cloth has a 4″ border of the valance fabric and the chair pads have some lovely detail tying in the whole room.  We were able to use some scraps of fabric to come up with some unique pillows for the room.  In no time at all, the room went from cold to cozy.

Don’t keep your windows bare,
if privacy is not an issue side panels hung on either side of the window can add
warmth and softness.

These panels shirred on the rod have a contrast band on the inside edge,
a three inch header and a generous puddle.
