In this room we used a 2.5″ continental rod and mounted the hardware on either side of the windows.
This large sun room has two sets of corner windows.
The windows are the eyes of your home – so what about the drapes what do you think they see? What do they hear? If they could talk, what would they say? They are there when you wake up in the morning. Do you wake up singing or are you a grump? What would your drapes say? Is your kitchen filled with the sweet smell of cinnamon buns and coffee on a lazy Saturday morning, or the wonderful aroma of homemade soup simmering on the stove? An aroma some would say is the smell of love! What would your drapes say? Is there the sound of giggles coming from your children playing hide and seek behind the curtains. Are flowers delivered, I love yous whispered, holiday memories made? Is there a child who is ill or a father who needs your care. What would your drapes say? Outside the home at a cozy cafe, sitting in a booth having lunch with a friend or perhaps behind closed doors after your interview, what would those drapes say? Look around at the windows, at the drapes, at your life, what are they saying about you?
Put up a polka dot cornice above your door and another at the sink with a roman shade to help block the sun. The striped fabric has pin-tucks sewn into it to add depth to the roman shade.
