These cornice boards are very large, each measuring 8 feet wide and 24 inches long. But This living room is very tall so it doesn’t get overpowered by the large window treatments. In fact it’s a great balance. Side panels anchor the cornices and add softness.
Here is a style that has elegance without the formality of a swag.
. . . Sometimes just a little Three different fabrics as well as trim were used in this kitchen. We used the small check to cover the boards and the buttons as well as on the tie holding the roman valance. The striped fabric is used not only on the roman shade but as a contrast on the jabots also. A colorful tassel fringe adds to the detail.
The cafe curtains give this dinette the privacy it needs.

Wow… They don’t look that big. You are right, they balance the room very nicely. And with you making them, I am sure they are made very professionally and will last the test of time.
