When you have a room that has many windows, as this kitchen and eating area do, keeping the style simple and basic as far as fabric selection and window treatments is all that is needed. The valance is an inverted box pleat which creates a tailored, clean look. The inverted pleats are used only at the corners of the valance for the small windows. The pleats on the larger windows as well as the door wall are kept at the same width that was used on the small windows creating a perfectly proportioned valance. These valances are creatively hung using an industrial strength hook and loop tape sewn into the treatment, which allows for the valance to be easily taken down and replaced for cleaning and decorating purposes.
