The mainstay of window fashions, the pinch pleated drapery panel. Pinch pleats are known as a row of groups of three separated by flat areas. The entire heading is stiffened with buckram or a stiffener before the pleating is created. There is some math used in creating the pleats carefully dividing the pleats and spaces to achieve the finished look. When completed the panel is secured to the drapery rings by means of hooks which are placed in the curtain at the back of each pleat.
