A London Shade combines the simplicity of a casual roman shade with the fullness of a balloon shade for a perfect pairing.
A London shade can be functional but needs to be pouffed each time it is raised and lowered. It will show some wrinkling when lowered, more or less so depending on the type of fabric used. Lighting will enhance those wrinkles. Cords and rings used to construct the shade may be visible with a sheer or lace fabric. This window treatment looks great in a solid color, but prints, plaids or stripes can be used with careful placement of the pattern.
